Massages and Massagers

Just recently I've beeing doing massages. I enjoy doing this for relaxation (when stressed), health (when I get lower back pain or cramps.) or romance. I've done all types of massages. I suck at the finger massage simply because I have fake nail tips and I have weak muscles in the hand and in the fingers. But I'm great at using massage loations/lubricants, using a percussion massager and or a medium round rotating/vibrating massager. So a questionare.

For those who give massages:

Hello. I am a massage therapist. Right now, I give Swedish massages, but I'm learning many more. I use different massage oils. I haven't really needed to use massage tools, but I will if I ever need to.
i also receive massages. I love them! I enjoy them for relaxation, health reasons, and... romance, if I had someone to romance me.
It also took me a while to build up the strength in my hands and fingers, but I did. I guess it just depends on the person, in determining how long it will take to build up that strength, but it can be done.

I'd love to know how to do any kind of massage really. I've had them done on me by other people. I had a hand massage a few years back, then last year I had an indian head massage when I went to Okehampton in Devon to this hotell where you can do almost anything you like, when you like. Loads of sports and crafts and treatments and things. I'd love to know where you can get hold of the oils and massagers and any other paraphonalia I might need to get started.

I love massage! Giving and receiving. Never had anything like proper training, but my victims, ahem, lucky volunteers don't complain too loudly. I prefer working with the hands, right in there with the tissue and muscle, though sometimes the light, tingly, sensual sort can be nice too. *grin* I make up my own massage oils sometimes, with a base of sweet almond oil and some essential oils added. I've never tried making lotions, though some of the shop brands are nice. Never tried a massage machine, I don't think they would have quite the same effect and responsiveness as hands and fingers, but it could be fun to try. Hands and feet are nice to work with, though I learned some reflexology a few years back, so I tend to default to that on those areas, rather than massage. What a cool topic!

I know of a very good company that sells oils, lotions, creams/cremes, tools, music, learning videos, accessories, etc. The name of the company is Biotone. Just google biotone, and it will give you quite a few sites that you can look at.

Yeah. I am very good at it, or so I've been told a lot... Never had any formal training in it though. I might investigate that someday. I enjoy giving rather than recieving.

I have gone through physical therapy where massage was involved, plus I used to massage my dancer friends. I've been told I'm excellent and can really get knots out. I have gotten several professional massages, including a deep-tissue.
I prefer oils, as lotion tends to dry up or get rubbed in to the skin quicker.

I agree. Whenever I'm giving or receiving a massage, I most definitely prefer the oils over lotions.
